You've been informed to meet at the Seaside Cycling Road. There, you'd meet up with the person responsible for foreseeing your promotion. After all, it's finally time to graduate from being a lowly grunt to a well-seasoned assassin for the DRK Triad![break][break]

However, meeting in such a conspicuous place like the Seaside Cycling Road troubles you. In such a public place, what could you possibly do?[break][break]

You make your way there, avoiding zooming cyclists and jogging Hitmonchan. Before you know it, you're tapped on the shoulder. The bright smile of a white-haired lady greets you when you turn around. She glistens with the sweat of her exercise under the brilliant Hoennian sun.[break][break]

"Helloooo! Hopefully, you weren't waiting too long! Tell me, young recruit. Why did you join us in the first place?"[break][break]

this one doesn't open as darkly as the other co-op one that patched through to her phone, but it still has its own veins of creepiness that rub her the wrong way. with everything that's been going on with the game, she's tuned in a little more than usual to news. most of the folks she mentioned it to at the shop don't know what she's talking about, but they're mostly in their sixties so...

she has 0 clue what the first answer even means, the second one sounds awful, and so it leaves her with the third.

There was that name again. Alec's eyebrows furrowed, thinking to him just what kind of group was this? Alec also thought about another tidbit of information that the man known as 'Dionysus' or Father Winter - whatever the hell man's name was (he didn't even give a crap about getting the bad ending for that route. The man gave him the creeps) mentioned. It had something to do with Avatars as well, whatever the hell that was. It was like it was meant to say that the player themselves was this so-called 'Avatar' but ... what exactly was an avatar? Did Alec not know something in regard to Pokemon? Either way, Alec had hoped that he'd be able to learn a thing or two by playing along, both literally as well as figuratively.

Alec just hoped that choosing the second option wouldn't make the game pull a 360 on him.

Gunner's eyes narrowed when he saw the new route in RONDEZ-VIEW OF LUV. The woman's face was unfamiliar, but he recognized her name from the reports of League officials and allies who'd fought Team Rocket on METENO 99943.[break][break]

She was Nisa Holo, a member of the DRK Triad. And it seemed he was supposed to be playing a new recruit.[break][break]

It was the perfect opportunity to gather more information about the mysterious assassins. Gunner reviewed the options and picked the one he knew the least about.[break][break]

A dimly lit closet-sized room. A series of questions asked in haste. Answers that only lead to more questions. A disappointed expression, the splitting of reality, an untimely escape via Unown.[break][break]
The memories flashed through Nomi's mind. She had just interrogated this woman - the incredibly dangerous DRK Triad agent known as Nisa Holo - not even three months ago under extremely tense circumstances. Now, here she was, a seemingly innocuous romance option as part of the popular RONDEZ-VIEW OF LUV game. It was jarring, but more than that, it was highly suspect.[break][break]
Nomi's suspicions that Macro Cosmos was run by the DRK Triad were growing stronger every day.[break][break]
But why put one of their own in the game? To what end? To actually recruit into their cult, or to try and further spy on the citizens of Hoenn by inserting themselves into their lives in the most intrusive and intimate of ways? Or was there something even more sinister at work - were they trying to test...copies of real people? Nomi was normally the one running experiments, but she suddenly felt as if she were the one being experimented on.[break][break]
A shiver ran down her spine. This would require her full and undivided attention. She swiftly got up, locked the door of her office, then returned to her phone.[break][break]
One thing was for certain: Nomi would not let Holo get the best of her a second time.[break][break]

Yet another special route had gone live. This one, about the dream world. Wait, an assassin for the DRK Triad? Why would she want to do that? Wait, 820's Arceus? Arceus had a trainer?

This was way too scary.

Shalin wanted to back out of the route, but she could not. She even power-cycled her phone. When it came back on, right to the route. Had Macro Cosmos' software put a virus on her phone? It seemed like she was going through with this route against her will. Arceus and the assassination of avatars was unacceptable to her. That left the Interdream Zone!

Another route had started on her phone where the screen showed a woman with white pigtails, tanned skin, and an outfit that looked like a trainer’s where she had been informed to meet at the Seaside Cycling Road to meet with her. As the lady called her a recruit and asked why had the purple-haired woman come to meet with her by the cycling road, options appeared at the bottom.[break][break]

She had no clue what the options would show though the third one appeared to be the most intriguing. The Interdream zone sounded like it could have some information on dreams that people had every night.[break][break]

He doesn’t know who Nisa Holo is. He doesn’t know a single bit of what she’s talking about! Other people playing the game must, or else it wouldn’t be included. He’s sure of that much. But alas—Lam is just here to play an interesting route. One that apparently involved him becoming an elite assassin. Which is objectively kind of cool—like a thriller film. It’s the DRK TRIAD that draws her attention to the screen. Her brows furrow in contemplation over the implications of this route. Was it meant to throw them for a loop? Litter false information to divert them? It would be difficult to discern.

She feels a particular discomfort at the second option considering she was now among that classification. From a lowly mortal to a god’s chosen. Even before all this her main priority was protecting avatars – from themselves and from the DRK Triad. Naturally she makes her decision based on the thirst of knowledge that would help her protect the many. Although she wants to select option 2, she ultimately does not.
